Sortelha It is one of the most beautiful and ancient Portuguese villages, having maintained its urban and architectural appearance unchanged from the Renaissance to the present day. A visit to the streets and alleys of the settlement, enclosed by a defensive ring, and watched over by a towering 13th-century castle, allows the outsider to go back to past centuries, among the medieval tombs, next to the Manueline pillory or in front of the Renaissance church.

Bendada is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Sabugal, with an area of 36.04 km² and 580 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 16.1 inhab/km². The formation of Bendada as an urban agglomeration may have originated in a Lusitanian settlement, which takes the genesis of this village back to the 5th or 6th centuries AD.

Penalobo is a former Portuguese parish in the municipality of Sabugal, with an area of 16.64 km² and 141 inhabitants (2011). Its population density was 8.5 inhab/km². The parish was extinguished (aggregated) by the administrative reorganization of 2012/2013, its territory being integrated into the Union of Parishes of Pousafoles do Bispo, Penalobo and Lomba.

Aldeia Velha is a Portuguese parish in the municipality of Sabugal, with an area of 18.85 km² and 431 inhabitants (2011). Its population density is 22.9 inhab/km². It is located near the Serra da Malcata, one of the few places in Portugal where you can still find the lynx, a protected animal on the verge of extinction.

Seixo do Côa is a former Portuguese parish in the municipality of Sabugal, with an area of 18.21 km² and 171 inhabitants (2011). Its population density was 9.4 inhab/km². The parish was extinguished (aggregated) by the administrative reorganization of 2012/2013, and its territory was integrated into the Union of Parishes of Seixo do Côa and Vale Longo.
